Paul joined SIA in May 2021 as Director for Inspections and Enforcement, with responsibility for all inspection, investigation, and intelligence activity, working closely with UK policing and private security industry in support of public protection. He retired after a 33-year career with the Police Service and HM Armed Forces, in 2020 as Assistant Chief Constable for Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Constabularies with responsibility for specialist policing services, major crime, armed policing, counter terrorism. Paul was also the National Policing Lead (NPCC) ‘Strategic Crime Investigator – PIP 4’ for complex, sensitive, and serious crime investigations having led several high-profile investigations & continues to provide support across UK law enforcement as a College of Policing Associate and advisor.
