Paul was co-opted to the Board of the Security Institute (SyI) in July 2018, with responsibility for Youth Engagement. At the SyI AGM on 30th April 2019, Paul was formally voted onto the Board as a Director, retaining the same responsibility. Paul was appointed as Director of Security, Risk and Mitigation at Ward Security in January 2018, after a long and successful career in UK policing. He brings to the fore his proven track record in Security, Counter Terrorism and risk mitigation both nationally and internationally. Previously, Paul was the Detective Chief Superintendent for the City of London Police, heading overall strategy with the senior team, overseeing and implementing responses for crime recording, Volume and Priority Crime, Public Protection, Serious and Organised Crime, the Major Crime Team and Major Incident Room response, Cyber Crime, Forensics and Counter Terrorism.
