Micheal Evans and his mother, Sally, have spent several years trying to raise awareness of the impacts of extremism of the families of those affected, and how to spot the warning signs that someone is being radicalised. Micheal's older brother, Thomas Evans, was radicalised and travelled overseas to fight for Al-Shabaab before being killed in Kenya whilst working with the group.
