Chris has held senior positions in the public, finance, and consulting sectors, with an operational career spanning over 35 years.

He joined Pay.UK in 2021 and oversees the cyber security and technology risk across the Enterprise, including the infrastructure that operates the UK’s national retail payments systems that people use every day together with other technology such as the APP Fraud claims reporting service introduced in 2024. 

In consulting he worked with an NCSC certified firm, leading a wide range of security remediation projects across companies operating Critical Infrastructure in the UK and abroad. In Banking he worked in a senior security role with group level responsibility.

His focus has always been to bring the public and private sectors closer together to improve information sharing, build collective capabilities and close gaps in order defend against threat actors unhindered by traditional borders and law enforcement methodologies.
