Caroline Hay

Chief Inspector, City of London Police
Caroline is a Chief Inspector in The City of London Police, having transferred from The Metropolitan Police in 2020. She has a passion for front line policing and believes strongly in partnership work to best serve the public. As such Caroline has engaged partners from far and wide to partake in Operation Reframe - a monthly operation focussing on preventing violence against women and girls (VAWG), in the night time. Caroline also runs @wecops; utilising online space to draw together the national policing family (and extended family) to share experiences and learning in bi weekly hourly chats. Through this platform and collaboration with our hosts (usually but not explicitly National Police Chiefs subject matter experts) we influence the national policing agenda. Caroline sat as a board member for the National Policing Strategic Review, chaired by Sir Michael Barber and The Police Foundation.
